CREW CT Blue Ribbon Awards celebrates a year of accomplished and completed projects. Submitted by Fuss & O'Neill, Park View & Allingtown Green was of the 14 project winners and was celebrated along with other winners in person at the 26th Annual Blue-Ribbon Awards Showcase on 6/9/2021.

Project: University of New Haven Bergami Center for Science, Technology and Innovation, Buckman Hall and Additional Infrastructure

This award recognizes outstanding projects that demonstrates project team excellence and teamwork collaboration by project owners, architects, engineers, constructors and trades.

Interior Healthcare Category / Editor's Pick | 2020
Project: Yale Child Study Center 

The Best of Design Award exhibits great buildings, elements, interiors, and installations. Entries are judged on criteria such as evidence of innovation, creative use of new technology, and good design. The Yale Child Study Center received an Editor's Pick in the Interior Healthcare category. 


AIA Fort Lauderdale
Member Honor Award | 2020
Arturo Arroyo, AIA

This Award recognizes a Member who, by their interest, participation and concern, has promoted and contributed to the dignity and value of AIA Ft. Lauderdale and the architectural profession.


AIA Connecticut
Design Award, Architecture as Encompassing Art Merit | 2020        
Project: Beehive Bridge

The AIA Connecticut Design Award celebrates the accomplishments of Connecticut architects and their work. Of the 28 projects awarded, the Beehive Bridge received the Merit award in the Encompassing Art category. A Jury member stated the following about Beehive Bridge: “We need more work tackling this kind of problem, and the metaphor is intriguing and conjures many ideas for structure, material, and space.”

Winners were celebrated virtually at the AIA Connecticut’s 2020 Annual Awards Gala on 11/12/2020.

Emerging Professional Award | 2020
Katie Scanlon, Assoc. AIA

AIA Connecticut's Emerging Professional Award recognizes emerging, graduate architects who have made amazing contributions to their profession or service in the community. 

Katie Scanlon's achievement was celebrated virtually at AIA Connecticut’s 2020 Annual Awards Gala on 11/12/2020.

Project: Yale Child Study Center

CREW CT Blue Ribbon Awards celebrates a year of accomplished and completed projects. Of the 28 project nominees, the Yale Child Center was awarded the Best in Class: Healthcare award and was celebrated along with other winners virtually at the 25th Annual Blue-Ribbon Awards Showcase on 10/1/2020.


AIA New England            
Emerging Professional Friendly Firm Award | 2020

Svigals + Partners

The AIA New England emerging Professional Friend Firm program identifies firm initiatives that promote the advancement of Emerging Professionals through professional development and personal growth opportunities. Out of 29 selected firms, Svigals + Partners was awarded in the medium firm category. This is Svigals’ third friendly firm recognition.


EIFS Industry Members Association
Hero Awards, Hero of the Year | 2020
Project: Ronald McDonald House

The Hero Awards Program recognizes and honors outstanding projects in the EIFS industry. The Ronald McDonald House of CT was one of the ten projects to receive the Hero Award and of two projects to receive the prestigious Hero of Year Award.

Awards were presented during a ceremony on 3/3/2020 during the EIMA Annual Meeting at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Amelia Island, Florida.


Engineering News Record
Regional Best Project, Highway/Bridge Merit | 2020
Project: Beehive Bridge

The Engineering News Record (ENR) Regional Best Projects honors the best construction projects designed and built in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The Beehive Bridge received the Merit award in the Highway/bridge category and will be profiled along with the 16 other winners in the December issue of ENR New England and announced at the awards event I November.

Awards of Excellence, 
Public Space & Placemaking | 2020
Project: Beehive Bridge

The Awards of Excellence recognizes outstanding projects, individuals, and partnerships who bring communities back to life, socially and economically. Of the eight winners, the Beehive Bridge received the Awards of Excellence in the Public Space and Placemaking category.


American Council of Engineering Companies
National Engineering Excellence Award | 2020

Project: Beehive Bridge

The American Council of Engineering Companies’ (ACEC) annual Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) honors projects that demonstrate an exceptional degree of innovation, complexity, achievement and value.

The Beehive Bridge was selected from among hundreds of applicants for its impressive, unique nature. Projects from throughout the world are rated on the basis of: uniqueness and/or innovative applications of new or existing techniques; future value to the engineering profession and enhanced public awareness/enthusiasm of the role of engineering; social, economic and sustainable development considerations; complexity; and fulfillment of client/owner needs.

Winners were celebrated at the 2020 Engineering Excellence Awards Gala on 4/28/20 at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C.
