Today's #MemberSpotlightMonday focuses on BIM Specialist John Caporaso. A native of Stratford, John can't remember a time when he wasn't drawing, writing, or building with Legos. He describes his current role as "between a CAD Manager and IT Specialist," working on both hardware and software to keep us running. He finds the problem solving aspect of his role gratifying, and even more so the opportunities to contribute to the overall strength of the team to deliver on client vision. Check out his bio for more:https://www.svigals.com/culture/john-caporaso

Today's #MemberSpotlightMonday presents the independent, and motivated April Gaddis. As someone who cannot sit still for long, the methods of production and success of creation have always been a driving force for April to achieve fulfillment. Whether it be crafting presents for her friends, working on her car, or restoring furniture she shows a clear aptitude for constantly creating something new. With her creativity, she is an essential part of the firm. She's highly adept at Revit, which makes her extremely efficient with tasks such as producing construction details, or adjusting designs based on client needs and budget constraints. Brian Stancavage is the focus of today's #MemberSpotlightMonday. His career path in design began in his high school art class where a teacher took notice of his keen eye for detail, and suggested he enrolls in classes for residential construction and electrical engineering. Upon his graduation for his Master's in Architecture degree from the University of Hartford, he was surprised with the AIA School Medal for Excellence. His attention to detail in construction documents makes him a major asset to our firm, and his previous work in developing an interoffice Revit execution plan makes him a practice asset as well. Learn more about him here: https://www.svigals.com/culture/brian-stancavage

Today's #MemberSpotlightMonday presents Katelyn Chapin. Her childhood playtime always seemed to involve building like creating elaborate house for her dolls, carving igloos from snow piled high by plows, or spending her summers in the woods creating villages outlined with rocks, branches, and trees. So it is no surprise she found her way to architecture. A natural collaborator, her background in art and gift of communication make her invaluable to Svigals + Partner's process of client engagement. She sees herself as an"ambassador for the profession", always encouraging interns to participate in networking events, and working with school-age children who show an interest in architecture as a Kids Build coordinator. For more fun facts check out her bio! https://www.svigals.com/culture/katelyn-chapin
Always a pleasure to work with photographer @carlvernlundphotography to help us capture the colorful community center designed for Community Mental Health Affiliates.
Our Direcor of Washington DC Office Amanda Lamontagne Maron is the focus of today's #MemberSpotlightMonday. She found her passion for architecture early, spending time as a child building things with her father. During High School, she spent time working for a home developer doing CAD drafting, and took honors in statewide architectural design competitions. Her contributions as a designer to the firm are indispensable. She excels at collaborating with team members, consultants, and clients to produce high quality construction documents with Revit/BIM software. Learn more about her here!:https://www.svigals.com/culture/amanda-lamontagne-maron

A jack of all trades, he manages the office's utilization of technology, mentors younger staff, and bolsters the unique culture of the firm.
