Katherine considers interior design to be a perfect intersection of her two passions: science and art. In her work she considers all possible factors—human behavior, psychology, safety, wellness, even proxemics (Google it)—before setting about creating a design that will be both functional and aesthetically fulfilling.

A native of Maine, Katherine says her heart truly belongs to the city of Boston, where she lived for eleven years. There she attended Boston Architectural College and graduated from the Suffolk University New England School of Arts and Design. Katherine’s professional experience includes a variety of roles for design firms in Boston and Connecticut. Her diverse portfolio spans the healthcare, education, and corporate sectors.

Katherine found herself drawn to Svigals + Partners in large part because of the firm’s reputation for great design. She is excited every day to work in our community of compassionate, creative people.  Her leadership skills allow her to easily navigate challenges and problem solve generating fresh and functional solutions, making her an essential part of the team.


What You Might Not Know

A foodie-at-heart, Katherine has been known to base her travels & adventures around the local cuisine.

Katherine is a huge John Mayer fan. She has been to eleven of his concerts. Number twelve is not far in the future.
