Through our continued relationship with Yale, Svigals + Partners rejuvenated an old AT&T building into Yale School of Medicine’s new administrative facility creating a new open work pedagogy that will inform the institution’s work environments for years to come.

Supplementing our experience with YSM’s standards and properties, Svigals conducted an extensive programming study to understand each department’s needs, work typologies, and community requirements.

Design Elements

Natural light and organic tones are used liberally throughout the space bringing ease and wellness to the interiors. Individual modern workstations, as well as semi-private supervisory stations and conference rooms facilitate productivity. Elements such as simple signage, wall graphics, and collegiate colors were used throughout the space to reinforce the Yale brand.

Result

Bringing all departments under one roof, the new LEED Silver facility optimizes occupant wellness and creates a flexible environment balancing conference rooms, huddle rooms, and focused workstations to increase integration, collaboration, and productivity.
