The process created a design that expressed aspirations of many diverse influences from the need to knit the fabric of the city back together to technical requirements of the clinical laboratories to the families and friends going to the Cancer Center.

Collaboration

This design grew from the understanding that the academic community needs to feel that the work environment can be a home for collaborative inquiry, serving their spirit as well as their research.

Result

Every aspect was considered in the light of nurturing a community of active inquiry, from the rigorous demands of the laboratory to the strategic placement of communal spaces that brought people together.
