Consolidating two prior facilities into a single, technologically advanced research base, protein sequencing company Quantum-Si Inc. turned to Svigals + Partners to design a new headquarters that merged the firm’s technical edge and crisp style with engaging art, branding, and collaborative work opportunities.

S+P worked diligently with Quantum-Si’s facility team to maintain the project’s tight schedule. Originally collaborating on a prior test-fit at a different location, ongoing communication was vital to meeting QSI’s needs while delivering a highly efficient environment that showcased their unparalleled technology.

Art Integration

Natural wood-like elements introduce a refreshing counterpoint to the company’s geometric, white-on-black brand motif. A lively graphic of gradient purple and blue zigzags across a central corridor and extends through other circulation areas.

Result

Accommodating sensitive, cutting-edge equipment for both wet and dry laboratories, the new headquarters offers a springboard for Quantum-Si's anticipated growth trajectory. The open interiors present a healthy, easy-to-adapt environment equipped with key conveniences and safety features, from flexible lab benches and adjustable lighting systems to highly efficient fume hoods and mechanical systems.
