Collaboration

The lodge was designed to be flexible and accessible in order to serve a range of young adult programs. It’s also a ‘home base’ for the camp counselors, providing a gathering spot for collaboration and socializing.

Design Highlights

Bunkhouses are low-maintenance and durable, yet distinctive with exposed timber elements. For accessories throughout the project, the design team collaborated with the client and with donors who created handmade quilts for all campers.

Result

Organized around a central courtyard, the u-shaped bunkhouses create a recreational area for traditional camp activities. The complex feels complete In Its remote setting, a multi-functional environment for collaboration, play, and retreat.
