ConnCAT

Connecticut Center for Arts and Technology

We were all so excited to contribute to this extraordinary mission, offering inner city students the opportunity to engage in the study of art and technology to prepare them for jobs in the community. Part of a national program, it’s success is resonant in the life of its new school.

Collaboration

Our office came to paint the ConnCAT Mural completed on inauguration day by the Founder, Bill Strickland and local chairman, Carlton Highsmith. Their finishing touches remain as evidence of their dedication to these students.

Art Integration

The repurposing of the old firehouse for Winchester Arms brought in a new mezzanine nestled into the trusses of its previous incarnation. An art gallery flows from the entrance mural to the classrooms.

Result

The program thrived and generated a second phase expansion as well as a satellite office at a nearby elementary school where another mural recalled the one at its original home, now the brand for ConnCAT.
