The New Haven architectural firm of Svigals + Partners celebrated its 25th anniversary with a November 1 shindig in the ballroom of LoRicco Towers downtown. Some 300 guests joined firm founder and managing partner Barry Svigals, FAIA and his fellow partners, Jay Brotman, AIA, and Robert Skolozdra, AIA, LEED AP, in toasting 25 years of success and the longstanding relationships the firm has forged with contractors, clients and creative partners along the way.

In 1983 Svigals started the firm in his basement with his 18-month-old son on his lap. He has since grown it to 33 employees working in a two-story building on Orange Street owned by the company. Svigals + Partners has worked on a wide range of projects, from furniture to city planning, including facilities for academic institutions, particularly in science and research, as well as commercial and residential projects.
